NYU–IAE Partnership
NYU’s Human Capital Management Department is widely recognized for its forward-looking perspective on the Future of Work, with a strong emphasis on how technology, data, and human ingenuity are transforming organizations around the world
Building on NYU’s commitment to a truly global learning community, with multiple international locations beyond New York City, the Global Summits explore how the same megatrends play out differently across regions and institutional contexts.
IAE Business School is widely recognized for its distinctive Latin American and human-centered lenses. IAE contributes not only its academic community and regional convening leadership, but also the perspective that promotes the transformation of organizations, ecosystems, and cities in ways centered on the person, oriented to long-term sustainability, and grounded in practical action.
Content and Dynamics
The future of work is a human development challenge that must be led simultaneously within organizations and across ecosystems.
If work is being reshaped by AI, demographic shifts, and increasing volatility, the key question is no longer whether firms can optimize talent as a resource, but whether leaders can develop people, strengthen institutions, and coordinate ecosystems so that growth, dignity, and competitiveness advance together.
This is a faculty- and participant-led experiential learning summit through which NYU and IAE participants engage directly with academics, executives, and institutional leaders who are working on real transformation challenges. The goal is not simply to discuss trends, but to explore responses that can generate meaningful impact in organizations, communities, and public life.
During the Summit, participants will experience real-life business and development challenges through Live Cases. In these sessions, protagonists do not come to present finished success stories; they come to share real challenges, examine their causes, and open a serious dialogue around possible solutions.
In a participatory, dynamic, and transformative environment, participants will be invited to exchange perspectives with peers from different countries, sectors, and disciplines, test ideas in dialogue with others, and build a richer understanding of how the future of work is unfolding across Latin America and beyond.
Main Ecosystems Impacted
1. Public Sector, Sustainability, Healthcare & Social Innovation
As populations age, healthcare systems evolve, and social expectations shift, the future of work increasingly depends on the ability of institutions to generate human-centered responses. New roles are emerging at the intersection of health, wellbeing, care, sustainability, and public service. These changes call for leaders who can integrate innovation with inclusion, and efficiency with human dignity.
2. Human Capital, Education, Training & Reskilling
Continuous learning is becoming essential for future workforce readiness across digital, managerial, and hybrid roles. But the challenge is not only to update skills; it is to form people and organizations capable of adapting with judgment, responsibility, and collaborative capacity. The Summit explores how talent development, reskilling, and leadership formation can respond to this new environment through both global insight and locally grounded solutions.
3. Entrepreneurship, Technology & Innovation Hubs
Digital technologies and AI are major drivers of jobs, productivity, and business transformation. At the same time, they are reshaping entrepreneurial ecosystems, regional competitiveness, and the relationship between organizations and society. The Summit examines these dynamics through a live, experiential format that invites participants to analyze real challenges through Live Cases, connecting innovation with the broader development of institutions, ecosystems, and communities.
