Ricardo's research focuses in entrepreneurial finance. In particular, his dissertation studies the role of economic and financial networks in entrepreneurial finance settings, the performance of startups, and the matching between startups and investors. His dissertation exploits original large-scale networked-data collected from the Web. In that regard his research spans the areas of financial economics, entrepreneurship, networks, and econometrics of large scale data.
His advisor is Virginia Sarria Allende.
Ricardo is currently adjunct professor at Universidad Austral and invited professor at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella. Before coming to IAE, he worked as researcher at Universidad Di Tella and as consultant for multilateral organizations such as Development Bank of Latin America (CAF), Inter-American Development Bank, and The World Bank. He holds a degree and master's degree in Economics from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella.
